Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Integration Engineer
Align your credentials to the Engineer category
TN status requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a directly related field. A degree in computer science or information systems can qualify, but a general IT degree often won't. Confirm the field-of-study match before applying.
Target employers with existing integration infrastructure
Companies running ERP, middleware, or API platforms like Salesforce, SAP, or MuleSoft hire integration engineers repeatedly. Recurring integration projects signal an employer familiar with the specialized hiring process TN roles require.
Search for TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Filter for Integration Engineer positions at employers with recent visa filings. Migrate Mate surfaces roles matched to your visa category, so you're not cold-applying to companies without experience sponsoring work visas.
Get your offer letter to name the Engineer category explicitly
The offer letter is your primary TN document. It must state the job title, duties confirming specialty occupation work, and the specific USMCA Engineer category. A vague letter is the most common reason CBP officers ask follow-up questions at the border.
Prepare your credential evaluation before you need it
If your engineering degree was earned outside the U.S. or Canada, a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization confirms equivalency. CBP officers at land ports sometimes request this on the spot, so having it ready avoids delays.
Understand the renewal window for Mexican nationals
Mexican TN holders must renew through a consulate, not at the border like Canadians. Consulate appointment wait times vary significantly by location, so file renewal paperwork well before your current status expires to avoid gaps.

Find Integration Engineer JobsIntegration Engineer TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Integration Engineer role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, Integration Engineers qualify under the USMCA Engineer category, provided the role involves engineering-level work and your degree is in engineering or a directly related field such as computer science or information systems. Roles focused purely on IT support or system administration without integration design responsibilities may not meet the specialty occupation threshold CBP applies.
How does TN visa sponsorship for Integration Engineers compare to H-1B?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so sponsorship can begin any time of year. H-1B requires an April lottery with roughly 25% selection odds and an October start date. For Integration Engineers with a qualifying engineering degree and a confirmed job offer, TN is a faster and more predictable path than H-1B in most cases.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for TN sponsorship?
Your employer provides a detailed offer letter specifying the USMCA Engineer category, your role's engineering duties, employment duration, and compensation structure. USCIS is not involved for Canadians applying at the border, so the letter is the central document. For Mexican nationals applying at a consulate, the employer may also need to provide supporting business documentation.
Where can I find Integration Engineer jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-eligible roles in the U.S. You can search Integration Engineer positions filtered by TN visa sponsorship, so you're targeting employers already familiar with the USMCA process rather than educating hiring managers from scratch.
Can I change employers while on a TN visa as an Integration Engineer?
Yes, but you need a new TN authorization tied to the new employer before you start working there. Canadians can apply at a port of entry with a new offer letter. Mexican nationals must schedule a new consulate appointment. There is no grace period that allows you to work for a new employer before the new TN is approved, so plan the transition timeline with both employers involved.
