Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Marketing Coordinator
Align your degree to the role
TN approval hinges on a direct connection between your academic credentials and the Marketing Coordinator position. A degree in marketing, communications, or business administration gives you the clearest path. Unrelated degrees create scrutiny that a strong offer letter alone won't resolve.
Request a specialty occupation offer letter
Ask your hiring manager to draft an offer letter that frames the role around systematic analysis and professional-level marketing strategy, not administrative tasks. CBP officers evaluate the letter at the port of entry, so vague job descriptions are one of the most common reasons TN requests get turned back.
Target employers with recent visa filings
Companies with recent visa filings for marketing roles already understand the visa sponsorship process generally. Searching for employers experienced with visa sponsorship in this occupation category filters for companies familiar with hiring workers on work visas, saving you from educating employers from scratch.
Find verified TN jobs through Migrate Mate
Searching broadly across generic job boards means filtering through postings where sponsorship is unclear. Migrate Mate surfaces Marketing Coordinator roles specifically tagged for TN visa sponsorship, so you're contacting employers who've already confirmed they can support the filing.
Prepare for port-of-entry review as a Canadian
Canadian citizens apply directly at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport rather than a consulate. Bring your degree transcripts, the employer's offer letter, and any professional certifications. CBP officers can approve or deny on the spot, so document completeness matters more than it does for consular applicants.
Understand how job scope affects your TN renewal
If your responsibilities shift significantly toward account management or sales after you start, your role may no longer fit the Management Consultant category at renewal. Confirm with your employer that the core duties documented in your original TN letter stay consistent throughout the initial period.

Find Marketing Coordinator JobsMarketing Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing Coordinator role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
It depends on how the position is structured. Marketing Coordinator roles qualify under the TN Management Consultant category when the work involves systematic analysis of marketing programs, not purely administrative coordination. Your employer's offer letter must describe duties at a professional, degree-requiring level. Roles that emphasize scheduling, data entry, or clerical support are unlikely to meet the standard CBP applies at the port of entry.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Marketing Coordinator roles?
TN has no annual cap and no lottery for Canadians, so you can start the process the moment you have a job offer rather than waiting for a registration window. H-1B requires your employer to enter a lottery each spring, and selection is not guaranteed. TN is also renewed indefinitely in three-year increments, whereas H-1B status has a six-year base limit with extensions tied to green card progress.
Where can I find Marketing Coordinator jobs that explicitly offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists Marketing Coordinator positions specifically tagged for TN visa sponsorship, so you're not guessing whether an employer will support the filing after you apply. Most general job boards don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor TN versus H-1B versus neither, which wastes time during the offer stage when immigration eligibility needs to be confirmed early.
What documents does a Canadian professional need to present at the border for a Marketing Coordinator TN application?
You'll need a valid Canadian passport, a detailed offer letter from the U.S. employer describing the role and confirming it requires a bachelor's degree, your official degree transcripts or credential evaluation, and evidence of any relevant professional certifications. CBP reviews everything on the spot. Missing or vague documents are the leading cause of same-day denials for TN applicants at the port of entry.
Can a Marketing Coordinator on TN status change employers without losing status?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer your existing TN to a new employer. Each new employer must independently support the TN filing. Canadian citizens can apply for a new TN at the port of entry with the new employer's offer letter without leaving the country. Mexican nationals need a new TN visa stamp at a U.S. consulate before starting with the new employer, which requires advance planning around consular appointment availability.
