Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Partner Marketing Manager
Align your degree to the role classification
TN approval for Partner Marketing Manager roles depends on matching your degree field to the position's occupational category. A marketing or business degree supports the Marketing Manager classification; a broader consulting scope may require Management Consultant framing. Clarify this with your employer before presenting your documents at the port of entry or U.S. consulate.
Target companies with active USMCA filing history
Employers with recent visa filings already understand work visa sponsorship processes and border documentation requirements. Focus your search on mid-size to enterprise tech and SaaS companies with established partner ecosystems, where cross-border hiring for alliance or channel roles is routine.
Request a support letter covering specialty occupation duties
Your employer's TN support letter must describe your Partner Marketing Manager duties in terms that satisfy specialty occupation requirements. Generic job descriptions get flagged. Ask HR to detail co-marketing program design, partner enablement strategy, and the degree-level knowledge those functions require.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsorship-ready employers
Identifying which companies will actually support TN sponsorship for alliance or partner marketing roles takes time most job seekers don't have. Migrate Mate filters Partner Marketing Manager jobs by TN visa sponsorship availability, so you're not cold-applying to employers unprepared for the process.
Prepare for CBP questions on partner versus employee scope
CBP officers sometimes probe whether a Partner Marketing Manager role involves managing external partners rather than performing professional-level marketing work. Bring documentation showing strategic responsibilities: co-marketing budgets, joint go-to-market plans, and any cross-functional leadership duties that confirm specialty occupation standing.
Confirm your TN category before the offer letter is finalized
Once an offer letter names an incorrect occupational category, correcting it delays your start date. Before you sign, confirm with your employer whether the role will be filed under Marketing or Management Consultant, since each requires different duty language in the TN petition your employer will present at the port of entry (or at the U.S. consulate if you're a Mexican national).

Find Partner Marketing Manager JobsPartner Marketing Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partner Marketing Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, but the classification depends on how your employer defines the position. Roles centered on co-marketing strategy and partner program development typically qualify under the Marketing category. Roles with a heavier consulting or advisory scope may qualify under Management Consultant instead. Your degree field must align with whichever category your employer selects, and your duties must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Partner Marketing Manager roles?
TN sponsorship is faster and more predictable for Canadian and Mexican professionals than H-1B. There is no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and processing can happen at a port of entry for Canadian citizens the same day. H-1B requires registration in March, a lottery selection, and a wait until October 1 to begin work. For Partner Marketing Manager roles that qualify under USMCA, TN is usually the more practical path if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship.
Where can I find Partner Marketing Manager jobs that explicitly offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, which means you spend time applying to roles where sponsorship isn't on the table. Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN, H-1B, and other work visa job seekers, so you can search Partner Marketing Manager roles filtered by TN visa sponsorship availability and avoid employers who won't support the process.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer needs to provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, the TN occupational category, your anticipated start date, your salary, and a description of your duties that demonstrates you meet the specialty occupation requirements. For Mexican citizens, you'll apply at a U.S. consulate with this support letter, your credentials, and the filing fee. Canadian citizens can present the same support letter, credentials, and filing fee directly at the U.S. border or port of entry.
Can I switch employers while on TN status as a Partner Marketing Manager?
Yes, but your TN status is employer-specific. You can't start work with a new employer until that employer obtains a new TN approval for you, either through a USCIS petition or, for Canadian citizens, a new border application. There is no formal grace period for TN holders between jobs the way there is for H-1B holders, so timing your transition before your current role ends is important.
