The Opportunity
The position sits within the Data & Analytics (D&A) organization supporting MetLife’s U.S. Business. MetLife is seeking an experienced Leader to provide strategic leadership and operational ownership for enterprise Master Data Management (MDM).
This role is accountable for the stability, accuracy, and integrity of Global Party Management (GPM), MetLife’s enterprise MDM platform serving all MetLife products, while shaping and governing Azure cloud data engineering and Databricks enablement for enterprise data assets. The Leader partners with architecture and platform teams to ensure secure‑by‑design, scalable integration patterns and sustainable operational performance across MDM and product‑aligned data platforms.
The role balances run‑the‑business excellence with modernization readiness, partnering closely with enterprise transformation initiatives to influence future‑state architecture and capabilities. This is a leadership position with strong technical expectations; while not an individual contributor, the Leader brings deep working knowledge of MDM, data engineering, cloud data platforms, and Databricks‑based processing to enable informed decision‑making, architectural oversight, and credibility with senior engineers and architects.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise MDM Platform Leadership (GPM)
- Provide end‑to‑end leadership and accountability for Global Party Management (GPM), MetLife’s enterprise MDM platform supporting all lines of business.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, performance, and data integrity for mission‑critical business and regulatory processes.
- Establish and enforce operational rigor, including SLAs, incident management, root‑cause analysis, and resiliency standards.
- Own technology currency and upgrade strategy, including Informatica 10.5 readiness and forward roadmap, in partnership with vendors and enterprise technology teams.
Master Data Engineering & Identity Resolution Leadership
- Set strategic direction and provide oversight for mastering logic, including match, merge, survivorship, identity resolution, and hierarchy management.
- Ensure leadership teams maintain deep understanding of end‑to‑end data flows spanning: Source systems of record (SORs), Third‑party data providers, Ingestion pipelines, MDM mastering layers, APIs and cloud‑based analytical consumers.
- Drive initiatives to reduce external mastering dependencies through adoption of native MDM and AI‑assisted match & merge capabilities.
- Ensure mastering decisions are consistent, explainable, and aligned with business, risk, and compliance requirements.
Data Governance, Quality & Compliance
- Partner with governance and stewardship teams to ensure data quality controls are embedded upstream and enforced consistently.
- Define and track data quality, accuracy, and confidence metrics across mastered and analytical datasets.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across MDM data platforms.
- Support audit readiness through clear lineage, documentation, and control frameworks.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and develop cross‑functional teams, including managers and senior technologists across MDM, data engineering, and data quality.
- Serve as a trusted data and technology leader for business, technology, and architecture stakeholders.
- Communicate complex data and platform topics in clear, executive‑ready language.
- Foster a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data and analytics, with leadership responsibility for complex data platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading MDM, data engineering, and data quality teams.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Informatica MDM and platform upgrade strategy
- Master data concepts including match & merge, survivorship, and identity resolution
- Azure cloud data platforms and Databricks‑based data processing
- Proven ability to lead high‑availability, production‑grade platforms.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in regulated financial services environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large‑scale MDM or data platform modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with Informatica or similar Cloud MDM and native AI/ML‑enabled match and merge capabilities.
- Working knowledge of enterprise analytics and reporting platforms, including the creation and maintenance of standard and ad‑hoc reporting solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience operating within modern data ecosystems, including Hadoop‑based platforms, and cloud‑native data processing frameworks.
- Experience leading or governing data platforms built on Microsoft Azure, including Databricks‑based data engineering and analytics environments, within large, regulated enterprises.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant consumer data regulations.
- Insurance, retirement, or financial services domain experience.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $142,100 - $212,750. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation and stock‑based long‑term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Master Data Management
Align your credentials to Systems Analyst
TN visa approval for MDM roles depends on your degree field matching the Systems Analyst category. A transcript showing computer science, information systems, or engineering strengthens your case and reduces the risk of a CBP challenge at entry.
Target employers with recent visa filings
Employers with recent visa filings demonstrate experience with sponsorship processes. Look for companies in the Master Data Management field that have sponsored work visas before—this experience suggests familiarity with visa sponsorship generally. Focus on organizations showing active visa sponsorship activity, as they're more likely to consider supporting eligible candidates for TN status roles.
Request a job offer letter citing TN
Your offer letter must state your role title, duties, the TN visa classification, and your Canadian or Mexican citizenship. Vague offer letters are a leading cause of CBP requests for clarification at the border, especially for MDM roles with hybrid titles.
Prepare a specialty occupation justification memo
MDM roles that blend project management with data governance can draw scrutiny. Draft a one-page memo explaining why the position requires theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge in data architecture or master data strategy.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Searching broadly for MDM roles wastes time on employers who won't file a TN. Migrate Mate filters jobs by verified TN visa sponsorship history, so you focus only on companies already set up to hire Canadian and Mexican professionals in data management roles.
Clarify re-entry rights before accepting a contract role
Contract and consulting MDM positions are TN-eligible, but your offer must come from a single U.S. employer or staffing agency acting as petitioner. Dual-employer or independent contractor arrangements are not permitted under TN and can cause denial at the port of entry.

Find Master Data Management JobsMaster Data Management TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Master Data Management role qualify for the TN visa?
MDM roles typically qualify under the TN Systems Analyst category when the position requires designing, implementing, or governing enterprise data systems and you hold a degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field. Roles that focus primarily on data stewardship coordination without a technical degree requirement are harder to qualify and may draw CBP scrutiny at the border.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Master Data Management jobs?
TN has no lottery and no annual cap for Canadian citizens, so you can secure authorization in days rather than waiting up to a year for H-1B selection. Mexican citizens face a limited TN allocation but still avoid the H-1B lottery entirely. The tradeoff is that TN requires a qualifying USMCA professional category, while H-1B is more flexible for roles that don't fit a defined TN occupation.
Where can I find MDM jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship experience, so you end up applying to employers who may not be prepared to sponsor work visas. Migrate Mate surfaces MDM and data management roles specifically from employers with recent visa filings, which cuts the noise and focuses your search on companies already equipped to handle visa sponsorship processes. For TN visas, this employer experience with visa sponsorship generally translates to familiarity with supporting documentation and streamlined hiring for eligible candidates.
Can a Canadian MDM professional apply for TN at the border?
Yes. Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at a U.S. port of entry or pre-clearance location by presenting a valid passport, an offer letter from a U.S. employer, and supporting credentials. No advance petition or USCIS filing is required. The CBP officer adjudicates the application on the spot, so having a clear role description and degree documentation ready is essential.
What happens if my MDM job title doesn't say Systems Analyst?
CBP evaluates the substance of your duties, not just the title on your offer letter. Titles like Data Governance Manager, MDM Architect, or Enterprise Data Analyst can qualify under Systems Analyst if your duties center on analyzing and designing information systems rather than managing people or projects. Your offer letter and any supporting documentation should describe your technical responsibilities in detail to establish the classification clearly.
