Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a React Developer
Frame your React work as systems analysis
TN visa approval for React developers depends on the job duties matching the Systems Analyst category. Your resume and offer letter must emphasize architecture decisions, component design, and systems integration, not just coding tasks.
Gather credential documentation before applying
CBP officers verify your degree on the spot at the port of entry. Have your official transcripts, diploma, and any credential evaluations ready before you start interviewing, since offer timelines move fast.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Employers experienced with visa sponsorship understand the process and are less likely to withdraw offers due to perceived complexity. Ask recruiters directly whether they have sponsored work visa candidates in the past.
Clarify Canadian versus Mexican processing with employers
Canadian citizens can activate TN status at a land border or airport on the day of hire. Mexican citizens need a U.S. consular visa appointment first. Clarify your nationality early so employers set realistic start-date expectations.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to find React Developer roles at companies that actively offer TN visa sponsorship, so you're not spending time on applications that will stall the moment you disclose your immigration status.
Request a TN-compliant offer letter before your border appointment
CBP requires a letter on company letterhead stating your job title, duties, salary, and intended duration. A vague or incomplete letter is the most common reason TN applications are deferred at the port of entry.
React Developer TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a React Developer role qualify for the TN visa?
Yes, if the job duties align with the Systems Analyst occupation category defined under USMCA. The role must involve specialty-level work, such as designing component architecture, integrating APIs, or leading technical decisions. Roles described purely as coding or support tasks may not satisfy CBP's review. The offer letter framing is critical.
How does TN compare to H-1B for React Developer positions?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no multi-month wait for approval. H-1B visa requires entering a random lottery in April and waiting until October to start work. For Canadian React developers with a qualifying offer, TN can be activated at the border the same day. Mexican nationals still need a consular appointment, but avoid the lottery entirely.
Where can I find React Developer jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter for React Developer roles at employers who have confirmed TN visa sponsorship, avoiding the guesswork of applying broadly and discovering the issue after a recruiter screen. Most general job boards do not filter by visa type or sponsorship willingness.
Can I switch React Developer employers while on a TN visa?
Yes, but TN status is employer-specific. You cannot simply transfer it the way an H-1B holder can use portability rules. You need a new TN approval tied to the new employer before your first day. Canadian citizens can handle this at the border. Mexican citizens need to visit a U.S. consulate and obtain a new TN visa stamp.
What happens if my TN application is deferred at the border?
CBP can defer a TN application for additional review, typically when the job duties are unclear or the offer letter is incomplete. You are not denied outright but are asked to return with more documentation. The most common fix is a revised offer letter that maps your React Developer duties explicitly to the Systems Analyst category under USMCA.
