Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Security Program Manager
Align your resume to advisory functions
TN classification for Security Program Managers hinges on Management Consultant eligibility. Frame your experience around risk assessment, security framework design, and cross-functional recommendations rather than direct staff supervision or operational ownership.
Verify the employer's recent visa filing history
Search job listings at employers with recent visa filings for roles in management and program oversight. Employers experienced with work visa sponsorship have demonstrated familiarity with visa compliance requirements and the documentation needed to support international hires.
Prepare a detailed duties letter before interviews
CBP officers assess TN eligibility at the port of entry based on your job duties letter. Draft this document jointly with your prospective employer early, ensuring every listed responsibility maps to Management Consultant criteria, not line management tasks.
Target security-heavy industries with compliance mandates
Financial services, defense contractors, and healthcare companies face regulatory frameworks that generate sustained demand for Security Program Managers. These industries sponsor TN visas more consistently because the advisory nature of the role fits the Management Consultant category cleanly.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready employers
Filter your job search to employers already familiar with visa sponsorship processes. Migrate Mate surfaces Security Program Manager positions at companies with recent visa filings, reducing the time spent educating hiring teams about TN eligibility requirements.
Confirm your TN status before accepting contract roles
Security Program Manager positions at staffing firms or as independent contractors require careful scrutiny. TN status requires a direct employer-employee relationship or a clearly defined third-party placement arrangement that CBP will accept, so clarify the employment structure before signing.

Find Security Program Manager JobsSecurity Program Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Security Program Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
It depends on how the role is structured. TN visa sponsorship for this title falls under the Management Consultant category, which requires duties focused on providing advisory services to management rather than exercising direct operational authority. Roles where you design security frameworks, assess risk, and recommend controls to leadership qualify. Roles where you primarily supervise staff or manage departmental budgets may not.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Security Program Manager positions?
TN offers a significant practical advantage: there is no lottery, no annual cap for Canadian citizens, and no lengthy petition wait. A qualified Canadian applicant can receive TN status at a port of entry the same day the offer is accepted. H-1B requires employer sponsorship through a competitive lottery and a minimum six-month wait before work authorization begins, which eliminates many otherwise willing employers from sponsoring the role.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN visa as a Security Program Manager?
Your employer must provide a detailed support letter describing the position, your specific duties, the business rationale for hiring a Management Consultant, your qualifications, and the duration and terms of employment. The letter should reference your relevant degree and connect each major responsibility to the Management Consultant occupational category. Vague or generalized letters are a common reason CBP requests additional evidence or denies entry.
Where can I find Security Program Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for TN visa job seekers and lists Security Program Manager roles at employers who have demonstrated TN sponsorship experience. Searching through general job boards often surfaces positions where the hiring team is unfamiliar with TN requirements for Management Consultants, which adds friction to an otherwise straightforward process.
Can Mexican citizens get TN visa sponsorship for Security Program Manager roles?
Yes, but the process differs from Canadian applicants. Mexican citizens must apply at a U.S. consulate rather than at the port of entry, and the annual TN allocation for Mexican nationals is limited. Consular processing timelines vary by post and appointment availability. The eligibility criteria, including the Management Consultant classification requirements and degree documentation, are identical for both nationalities.
