Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Supply Planner
Frame your credentials around qualifying categories
Supply Planner doesn't appear verbatim on the TN occupation list. Structure your resume and offer letter around Industrial Engineer or Management Consultant functions, matching your degree title and job duties to whichever category your actual coursework and responsibilities support.
Target employers with active supply chain functions
Prioritize manufacturers, consumer goods companies, and third-party logistics providers with dedicated planning teams. These employers file TN sponsorship regularly and understand the documentation requirements, reducing the back-and-forth that delays offers at companies with no prior TN experience.
Get your offer letter scoped correctly before crossing
Canadian professionals applying at the port of entry need an offer letter that explicitly ties the Supply Planner duties to a TN-eligible occupation. A vague job title gets questioned by CBP officers. Ask your employer to specify the qualifying category and degree requirement in the letter.
Search TN-sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Supply Planner roles at employers with recent visa filings who understand the sponsorship process. Filtering by employer visa sponsorship experience helps you focus on companies with established HR practices to support your TN application at the port of entry.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Mexican professionals whose credentials come from institutions outside Canada or the U.S. should obtain a credential evaluation before the interview stage. Consular officers assess whether your degree aligns with the claimed TN category, and a missing evaluation is one of the most common causes of delays.
Negotiate TN renewal terms before accepting an offer
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals, but each renewal requires employer reaffirmation. Confirm your employer understands the renewal cadence and will support refiling, so a planning cycle or project transition doesn't catch you mid-status.

Find Supply Planner JobsSupply Planner TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Supply Planner qualify as a TN visa occupation?
Supply Planner isn't listed by name in the USMCA TN occupation schedule, but the role commonly qualifies under Industrial Engineer or Management Consultant depending on how the duties are defined. Your degree must align with the claimed category. An offer letter that maps your planning responsibilities to one of those occupations is what CBP or a consular officer will evaluate.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Supply Planner roles?
TN is generally faster and more predictable for Supply Planners than H-1B. There's no lottery for Canadian citizens, no cap to worry about outside of the Mexican national allocation, and Canadian applicants can receive approval at a port of entry the same day. H-1B involves annual registration, a random selection process, and months of waiting before you can start work.
What documents does a Canadian Supply Planner need at the border?
You'll need a valid Canadian passport, a job offer letter that identifies the TN-eligible occupation category and your qualifying degree, proof of your educational credentials, and evidence of your employer's legitimacy such as a business registration or tax ID. CBP officers adjudicate TN applications on the spot, so bring originals and organized copies of everything.
Where can I find Supply Planner jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles with TN visa sponsorship. You can filter Supply Planner listings by employers with recent visa filings, which is a more reliable signal than a generic 'visa sponsorship available' checkbox that many job postings use without follow-through.
Can a Mexican national get TN sponsorship for a Supply Planner role?
Yes, but the process differs from the Canadian pathway. Mexican TN applicants must apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at the border, which adds processing time. The USMCA sets a 5,500 annual allocation for Mexican TN nationals across all categories, so timing your application relative to fiscal year demand is worth factoring into your planning.
