American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ER position at a Level 1 trauma children's hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- Pediatric Emergency Department within a children's acute care teaching hospital
- 32 beds on the unit within a 455-bed facility
- Level 1 trauma center performing conscious sedation in the unit
- Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
- Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (7:00-19:30 and 19:00-7:30), 3x12 schedule
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required for ED RNs
- No floating required outside of scope
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC or ATLS
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to pediatric patients including conscious sedation support
- Scrub colors are flexible or facility-branded attire may be worn
- Must be available to work during holiday weeks with limited RTO (max 7 days per 13-week contract, none during the first week)
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
- Previous BJC permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
