Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a BMT unit position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, with chemotherapy administration experience and a valid MO or compact RN license required.

Details

• BMT Oncology unit in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Magnet-designated and teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation
• 1,266 total staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts with an average daily census of 30 across 32 beds
• Performs autologous stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration
• Charts using Epic EMR (experience required)
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within service line required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required (MO license must be valid and in hand at time of consideration)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of oncology RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Parking passes are available for purchase at various on-site locations at the traveler's own expense; night shift workers park at no charge in employee parking
