We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, adaptability, and a passion for working with a diverse range of animal species in both clinical and field settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform routine and emergency medical procedures including administering medications, collecting samples, and monitoring anesthesia.
- Provide compassionate care and education to pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and general pet health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper handling and storage of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Conduct laboratory tests, take radiographs, and assist in various diagnostic procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Certification or Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with equine and livestock is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client education.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using veterinary software and electronic medical records.
