Which companies sponsor visas for quality assurance engineers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus, Raytheon Technologies in Tucson and Phoenix, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) in north Phoenix, Microchip Technology, and Honeywell Aerospace are among Arizona employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for quality assurance engineers. These companies operate in semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, and defense, industries where QA engineering is a core technical discipline rather than an optional function.
Which visa types are most common for quality assurance engineer roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for quality assurance engineers in Arizona, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT can work while an employer files their H-1B petition. The L-1B intracompany transfer visa is also used when engineers move from a foreign office of a multinational company like Intel or Honeywell to their Arizona operations.
How to find quality assurance engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse quality assurance engineer roles in Arizona without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates openings from employers with active sponsorship programs, which is particularly useful for Arizona's semiconductor and aerospace sectors where QA roles are technical and sponsorship-eligible but not always clearly labeled in generic job postings.
Which cities in Arizona have the most quality assurance engineer sponsorship jobs?
Chandler and Phoenix account for the largest concentration of QA engineering sponsorship opportunities, driven by Intel's semiconductor operations in Chandler and TSMC's new fab campus in north Phoenix. Tempe's tech corridor adds additional openings, particularly in software and electronics QA. Tucson is a secondary market with aerospace-focused QA roles tied to Raytheon and defense contractors, though volume there is considerably lower than the Phoenix metro area.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for quality assurance engineer visa sponsorship?
Arizona's semiconductor expansion, anchored by TSMC and Intel, has increased demand for QA engineers with hardware and process validation backgrounds, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized skill alignment. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona produce engineering graduates who enter local QA pipelines, but international candidates with relevant industry experience in semiconductor, aerospace, or medical device QA are actively recruited. Employers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific metro area and job level when sponsoring an H-1B.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored quality assurance engineer jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
