ABOUT THE JOB
The Wolfspeed Power Packaging team is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Project Manager to drive execution excellence and process innovation for our Automotive module platform portfolio. The individual will work as part of a cross functional team consisting of product development, operations and marketing to develop next generation power modules for the Industrial market spaces. A successful candidate will be a resourceful problem solver that is able to work around technical obstacles, implement practical solutions and successfully partner with Wolfspeed’s worldwide design, project management and manufacturing organizations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Take responsibility for the execution of new product introduction (NPI) process for Module Platforms within the automotive product line
- Take ownership of development schedules, budgets, priorities, risk assessments and product quality targets
- Utilize project management tools to define project scope, cost and schedule and ensure commitments are met. Revise plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements leveraging the appropriate processes.
- Where processes do not exist, or can be improved, proactively drive change to ensure success of the project, the team and the business
- Ensure that all disciplines work together to meet and/or beat the project goals. Collaborate across the Wolfspeed organization to coordinate all product release activities.
- Identify needed resources and assign individual responsibilities. Prioritize projects and project efforts per business requirements.
- Identify and exercise company-wide subject matter experts when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Engineering with experience in a product development environment
- Demonstrated success managing multiple development projects simultaneously in the semiconductor industry
- Resourceful, hands-on, problem-solving individual with initiative and drive to work around technical obstacles
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast pace, highly dynamic environment, at both a detailed execution level and a strategic level
- Must possess a strong “whatever it takes” attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence and gain commitments without direct supervisor authority
