Which electronics companies sponsor Green Card visas in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus, Microchip Technology in Chandler and Tempe, Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, and ON Semiconductor in Phoenix are among the most active Green Card sponsors in Arizona's electronics sector. TSMC, which is expanding its fabrication presence in Phoenix, has also been filing employment-based petitions. Sponsorship activity is highest for engineers, process technicians, and R&D specialists in semiconductor and defense electronics.
Which cities in Arizona have the most electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The Phoenix metro area, including Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale, concentrates the majority of electronics Green Card sponsorship activity in Arizona due to the dense presence of semiconductor fabs and hardware companies. Tucson is the second most active city, driven by defense electronics contractors like Raytheon. Gilbert and Mesa also have growing electronics employer bases tied to manufacturing and advanced hardware development.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arizona?
Roles that most commonly qualify include semiconductor process engineers, electrical engineers, hardware design engineers, embedded systems engineers, RF engineers, and quality assurance engineers. These positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field. Employers sponsoring Green Cards in Arizona's electronics sector tend to prioritize roles where specialized technical expertise is difficult to fill domestically and where the position supports long-term business operations.
How do I find electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate lists electronics jobs in Arizona that include Green Card sponsorship, letting you filter specifically by visa type and state so you're not sorting through roles that don't meet your needs. Given the concentration of semiconductor and defense electronics employers in the Phoenix metro and Tucson, searching within those locations on Migrate Mate can surface active openings at companies with documented sponsorship histories in the electronics sector.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Arizona's electronics industry?
Arizona's electronics sector has a significant defense and semiconductor manufacturing component, which introduces security clearance requirements at some employers. Certain positions at defense contractors like Raytheon may require U.S. person status for clearance eligibility, which can affect Green Card sponsorship pathways. For semiconductor roles without clearance requirements, Arizona's ongoing fab expansion means employer-sponsored Green Card filings have been increasing, particularly under the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card electronics jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
