Which sports companies in Arizona sponsor Green Card visas?
Professional franchises including the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Arizona Coyotes have historically sponsored Green Cards for specialized staff in areas like sports medicine, analytics, and coaching. Arizona State University's athletics department and sports technology firms based in the Phoenix metro area also appear in employer of record and PERM filing data, though sponsorship decisions vary by role and organizational need.
Which cities in Arizona have the most sports Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and Scottsdale account for the largest concentration of sports Green Card sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by the presence of major professional franchises, spring training facilities, and sports tech companies headquartered in the metro area. Tempe is also notable given Arizona State University's athletics infrastructure. Tucson offers a smaller but active market through the University of Arizona's sports programs and regional recreation organizations.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arizona?
Green Card sponsorship in Arizona's sports industry tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized credentials that are difficult to fill domestically. Sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, data analysts, sports scientists, and high-performance coaches with international-level credentials are among the positions where employers are more likely to initiate PERM labor certification. Front-office and general administrative roles are sponsored far less frequently.
How do I find sports Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for Green Card-sponsored roles in Arizona's sports industry directly without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform indexes opportunities across professional franchises, university athletics, and sports technology employers in the Phoenix metro and beyond. Filtering by the Sports and Recreation category in Arizona will surface the most relevant active listings.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in sports?
Arizona's sports calendar, anchored by spring training for multiple MLB franchises, creates seasonal hiring cycles that can affect when sponsorship-eligible roles open. Employers initiating PERM labor certification must demonstrate the position could not be filled by a qualified U.S. worker, which raises the bar for sports roles where domestic candidates are plentiful. Roles tied to international coaching pipelines or specialized sports science programs tend to have a stronger sponsorship case in the Arizona market.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sports jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
