Which cities in Maryland have the most sports Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Baltimore is the clear center of sports employment in Maryland, home to two major professional franchises, multiple universities, and a concentration of sports medicine and wellness organizations. College Park and the surrounding Prince George's County area generate opportunities through the University of Maryland's large athletic program. Bethesda and Rockville, given their proximity to Washington, D.C., also host sports management, recreation, and health-focused employers that sponsor Green Cards.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Maryland?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher tend to qualify most reliably, including athletic trainers, sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, performance analysts, sports operations managers, strength and conditioning coaches with advanced credentials, and sports marketing or communications professionals. What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sports jobs in Maryland?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
