THE COMPANY
Sendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations—chat, voice, video, messaging APIs—and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.
We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.
We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we'd spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack—into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.
We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.
We chose reinvention.
In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI-first customer experience. By February 2025, we'd launched our AI agent for enterprise CX—built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to Delight.ai.
The name says it all. AI's real promise isn't efficiency or cost savings. It's giving customers back something they lost—the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.
THE PRODUCT
Delight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn't. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel—chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp—without losing the thread. We're building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.
THE ROLE
You'll own Delight.ai's organic growth strategy and execution. Your mandate is to make us discoverable wherever buyers research—from Google to Perplexity to ChatGPT—and turn that discoverability into pipeline. You'll build the content engine, the SEO and AEO/GEO strategy, and the measurement framework that makes organic our highest-performing growth channel.
This is a hands-on, high-output role. You'll write, edit, optimize, and ship content across blog, web, email, and gated assets. You'll partner with our web team to implement technical changes that improve organic and AI-engine discoverability. And you'll build AI-augmented workflows that let a lean team punch above its weight.
If you're the kind of marketer who already has a library of custom prompts, strong opinions about which AI tools work best for what, and thinks in terms of pipeline contribution rather than just traffic—we want to talk. This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities
Organic Growth Strategy:
- Own organic traffic and organic-sourced pipeline as your primary metrics.
- Build and execute the SEO and AEO/GEO strategy that makes Delight.ai discoverable and citable across traditional search and AI search engines.
- Track performance from content to traffic to pipeline. Use data to decide what to create, refresh, or retire. Build the attribution framework that ties organic efforts to revenue.
- Partner with the web team to spec and implement technical SEO and AEO requirements: structured data, schema markup, site architecture, and crawlability for both search engines and LLMs.
Content Engine:
- Write and ship high-velocity content across blog, web, email, and gated formats—adapting quickly as our market, product, and competitive landscape evolve.
- Develop content strategy informed by keyword research, competitive gaps, and buyer journey mapping.
- Use AI tools daily to accelerate every stage of the content workflow. Build playbooks so the rest of the team can do the same.
Editorial Quality:
- Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across the content you produce.
- Write for multiple audiences (technical, executive, practitioner) and adapt tone and depth accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5-8 years of content marketing experience in B2B SaaS or tech, with demonstrated ownership of organic growth outcomes (not just content production).
- Fluent in AI as a working tool and use automation to move faster across research, drafting, optimization, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of AEO/GEO: how AI search engines surface, cite, and rank sources—and what content and technical strategies influence that.
- SEO expertise: keyword research, on-page optimization, content strategy, and measurement (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar).
- Ability to spec technical SEO requirements (structured data, schema markup, crawlability) and partner with engineering to implement.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of published work.
- Power-user proficiency with AI tools—you use them daily and have strong opinions about when they help and when they don't.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and shipping content at a fast, consistent cadence.
- Ability to write for multiple audiences (technical, executive, practitioner) and formats (blog, email, gated, web).
Nice to Have:
- Experience in conversational AI, customer experience, or support technology.
- Familiarity with content-to-pipeline attribution and marketing analytics tools.
- Experience building organic growth strategies from early stage (not just optimizing existing engines).
WHAT WE OFFER:
We take care of the people who build the future. Here's some of what you can expect when you join Sendbird:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, on us. Sendbird covers 100% of the premium for our employees and roughly 80% for their dependents.
- Generous time off. 20 days PTO, 13 company holidays, 7 sick days, 2 rest & rejuvenation days, 1 volunteer day, and your birthday off.
- $3,500 annual "Be Your Best Self" boost. Spend it on anything that helps you grow. Gym memberships, therapy, books, courses, massages, and more.
- Parental leave for all new parents. Time to be present for the moments that matter most.
- 401(k) from day one. Auto-enrollment, flexible contributions, and access to Vanguard's investment platform.
- HSA & FSA options. Pre-tax accounts to cover healthcare, dependent care, and commuter expenses.
- Life & disability coverage, fully paid. Life insurance and AD&D at 2x your salary, plus short- and long-term disability at no cost to you.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. To determine our ranges, we utilize a variety of compensation data benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $145,000.00 – $170,000.00. This range is specific to the San Francisco Bay market. We consider several factors when making final compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs which may cause your specific offer to vary from the amount listed above.
FLEXIBLE WORK POLICY
We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require all employees within an hour's commute range of their local office to gather with their team in the office three days per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
WHAT DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION MEAN TO US
There is no such thing as a perfect candidate and the best employees come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets. Sendbird is a place where everyone can learn and grow. We respect, promote, and encourage diversity for equal employment opportunities and encourage you to apply if this role excites you.
WHY SENDBIRD
We're not in maintenance mode. We're rebuilding how businesses connect with their customers using AI, and we're moving fast. If you want to own something real, build things that matter, and work at a company that has the infrastructure, the data, and the conviction to lead this shift, this is the place.

Which companies sponsor visas for content marketing managers in California?
Technology companies are the most active sponsors for content marketing managers in California. Salesforce, Adobe, Google, Meta, and Intuit have consistent hiring patterns for this role and documented histories of H-1B sponsorship. Enterprise software firms in San Francisco and San Jose, along with entertainment and streaming companies in Los Angeles such as Netflix and Disney, also sponsor regularly.
Which visa types are most common for content marketing manager roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for content marketing managers in California. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation when a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a standard requirement. Candidates with an Australian passport may pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is often a faster path to California-based roles.
Which cities in California have the most content marketing manager sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and the broader Bay Area account for the largest share of content marketing manager sponsorship jobs in California, concentrated among enterprise software and SaaS companies. Los Angeles follows closely, driven by digital media, entertainment, and e-commerce employers. San Jose, San Diego, and Santa Monica also see meaningful activity, particularly in technology and health tech.
How to find content marketing manager visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, including content marketing manager positions across California. Rather than sorting through thousands of unfiltered postings, you can browse California-specific results on Migrate Mate to find companies that have sponsored similar roles before, saving significant time during your search.
Are there state-specific factors to know when pursuing content marketing manager sponsorship in California?
California employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when sponsoring H-1B workers, and California's high cost of living means prevailing wages for content marketing managers in cities like San Francisco tend to be set at elevated levels. California also benefits from strong university pipelines through UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC, which means sponsoring employers in this state are generally experienced with international hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored content marketing manager jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
