Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other project management software, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as needed.
- Manage project budgets through effective cost estimation, cost management strategies, and procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or similar estimating tools.
- Oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to review construction plans, blueprints (Blueprint reading), and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
- Monitor project performance through regular site visits, progress reports, and schedule coordination to ensure timely completion.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes while maintaining comprehensive documentation for all project phases.
- Lead teams on-site and in-office by assigning tasks effectively, managing resources efficiently, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations specific to healthcare facilities.
- Coordinate project schedules across multiple disciplines using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Office tools for seamless integration.
- Drive project leadership by managing risks proactively, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining clear communication channels among stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or healthcare construction projects with a strong understanding of construction regulations specific to healthcare environments.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other project scheduling tools.
- Demonstrated ability in construction estimating, budget management, contract negotiation, and cost control strategies.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading (Construction plans), project scheduling (Construction scheduling), and construction regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in managing teams in a construction management role on-site at healthcare or commercial construction sites.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and healthcare-specific building codes to ensure regulatory compliance throughout all phases of the project.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
