INTRODUCTION
Adobe’s Digital GTM & Sales team drives the end-to-end performance of our digital business — and this role sits at the center of it! As a Senior Strategy & Operations Lead, you will be a trusted strategic partner to leadership, helping shape how we think about the business, identify the highest-leverage opportunities for growth, and translate insight into action at speed.
This is a role for someone who thinks like a consultant and operates like an owner. You’ll bring a structured lens to complex business questions — whether that’s diagnosing what’s driving a performance trend, evaluating a strategic bet, or stress-testing a quarterly plan. At the same time, you’ll roll up your sleeves to ensure the operating rhythms and planning processes that keep the business running are reliable and continuously improving. You'll be partnering with sales, marketing, finance, and regional teams and the key connective tissue between strategy and execution.
If you thrive on variety, enjoy making sense of ambiguity, and want to leave a visible imprint on a high-growth business, this is the role for you!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Performance & Strategic Insight
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership— framing the right questions, building the analytical foundation, and driving toward actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and synthesize business performance across the digital funnel; identify emerging trends, surface risks and opportunities, and communicate findings with executive-level clarity.
- Translate complex business problems into structured frameworks that drive alignment and enable faster, better decisions.
Planning, Prioritization & Operating Rhythm
- Drive the day-to-day operational heartbeat of the team: manage reporting cadences, synthesize key result progress, and ensure the right information reaches the right partners at the right time.
- Build and maintain the frameworks and tools that enable disciplined prioritization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to keep critical initiatives on track, resolving blockers and maintaining momentum through structured program management.
High-Impact Strategic Projects
- Own a portfolio of high-stakes strategic questions — from competitive positioning and market opportunity sizing to go-to-market model evolution — and drive them from framing through recommendation to decision.
- Be a trusted “internal consultant” to senior leaders.
- Navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence — driving progress on long-horizon initiatives that don’t fit neatly into existing workstreams but matter enormously to the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6–8+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or a related strategic role — ideally within a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
- Proven ability to structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems.
- Analytical and financial knowledge; comfortable pulling apart funnel metrics, building cases for business change, and translating quantitative analysis into compelling narratives.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills — able to engage credibly with senior leaders, align cross-functional partners, and drive decisions.
- Track record of owning high-visibility projects end-to-end.
- Deep curiosity about the business - asking "Why?" - and a bias toward action.

Which companies sponsor visas for operations leads in California?
Technology and e-commerce companies account for a large share of operations lead sponsorships in California. Employers like Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, and Salesforce regularly file H-1B visa petitions for operations roles in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Logistics-focused companies such as XPO and contract manufacturers in the San Jose corridor also sponsor operations leads, particularly for supply chain and fulfillment management positions.
Which visa types are most common for operations lead roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for operations lead roles in California, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. L-1A visas apply when a multinational company transfers a manager or executive from an overseas office. O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrable extraordinary ability in their field, though it requires substantial documentation.
Which cities in California have the most operations lead sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View, generates the highest volume of operations lead sponsorships in California, concentrated in technology and SaaS companies. Los Angeles is second, with strength in entertainment operations, logistics, and e-commerce fulfillment. San Diego has a growing cluster of operations roles tied to biotech, defense contractors, and border-adjacent supply chain companies.
How to find operations lead visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers who sponsor visas, so you can browse operations lead roles in California without sorting through positions that offer no sponsorship pathway. The platform is built for international candidates, covering H-1B and other work visa categories. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate narrows results to California-based operations lead openings at verified sponsoring employers.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations lead sponsorship in California?
California's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules tend to reflect the state's high cost of living, meaning sponsored operations leads are typically offered compensation benchmarked to local wage levels rather than national averages. California's strong union presence in logistics and warehousing can also affect how operations lead roles are classified and structured. Additionally, Bay Area employers filing H-1B petitions face high competition during the annual cap lottery, making early preparation with an employer important.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations lead jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
