Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Delaware
Target Delaware's corporate registration advantage
More than 60% of Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware, and many maintain legal, compliance, or financial operations in Wilmington. These employer types regularly hire for specialty occupations that qualify for E-3 sponsorship.
Focus your search on Wilmington's financial district
Wilmington is home to major banks, credit card companies, and financial institutions. Roles in financial analysis, risk management, and compliance consistently appear in E-3 LCA filings for Delaware employers, making this the state's densest concentration of sponsorship activity.
Look into Newark's life sciences and university corridor
The area around the University of Delaware in Newark supports pharmaceutical research, biotech, and engineering employers. These industries frequently sponsor specialty occupation roles that align well with E-3 requirements for degree-matched positions.
Search filtered job boards to avoid wasted applications
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate lets you search E-3 sponsorship jobs specifically, so you can focus applications on employers already open to sponsoring Australian professionals.
Check OFLC disclosure data to verify employer sponsorship history
Before applying, search the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data for Delaware employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for E-3 workers. Past filings are a reliable signal that an employer understands and is willing to support the E-3 process.
Engage professional services firms directly
Delaware's legal, accounting, and consulting firms serve the state's large corporate client base and regularly hire for roles in law, accounting, and management consulting. These firms often have existing immigration infrastructure, which reduces friction in the E-3 sponsorship process.

Which industries in Delaware sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Financial services is Delaware's dominant E-3 visa sponsorship sector, driven by the concentration of banks, credit card issuers, and financial institutions in Wilmington. Legal services and corporate compliance firms follow closely, given Delaware's status as the preferred state for corporate incorporation. Life sciences and pharmaceutical research, centered around Newark, also produce consistent E-3 filings for research and engineering roles.
Which cities in Delaware have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the majority of E-3 sponsorship activity in Delaware, largely due to its financial services and legal sector employers. Newark is the second most active area, supported by University of Delaware-affiliated research institutions and nearby pharmaceutical and engineering employers. Dover, the state capital, has a smaller but present concentration of government-adjacent professional services roles.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Delaware?
Roles that consistently qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Delaware include financial analysts, compliance officers, software engineers, research scientists, and corporate attorneys. The common thread is that each requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Generalist roles or positions where any degree is acceptable are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard required for E-3 approval.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter for E-3 sponsorship jobs in Delaware by industry and role type without sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. You can also cross-reference the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure database to identify Delaware employers with a history of E-3 filings, which signals existing familiarity with the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
