Which companies sponsor visas for learning specialists in Florida?
Florida's largest K-12 districts, including Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Broward County Public Schools, and Orange County Public Schools, have sponsored visas for learning specialists. Large healthcare systems like AdventHealth and HCA Healthcare, as well as universities such as the University of Florida and University of Miami, also have hiring patterns that include H-1B visa sponsorship for instructional and learning roles.
Which visa types are most common for learning specialist roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for learning specialists in Florida, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as education, instructional design, or a related discipline. Some university-affiliated positions may involve J-1 visa exchange visitor status, and candidates with Canadian or Australian citizenship may explore TN visa or E-3 visa pathways where the role qualifies.
How to find learning specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for learning specialist roles in Florida without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface openings at Florida school districts, universities, and corporate training departments that have demonstrated sponsorship activity for international candidates in instructional or learning roles.
Which cities in Florida have the most learning specialist sponsorship jobs?
Miami, Orlando, and Tampa account for the largest share of learning specialist sponsorship activity in Florida. Miami's size and international character make it particularly active, driven by Miami-Dade County Public Schools and a dense concentration of healthcare employers. Orlando's growing tech and hospitality sectors generate corporate training roles, while Tampa's healthcare institutions and University of South Florida campus support consistent demand.
Are there state-specific considerations for learning specialist sponsorship in Florida?
Florida does not impose additional state-level visa requirements beyond federal immigration rules, but the concentration of sponsoring employers in public education means hiring is heavily tied to academic calendar cycles, with most school district postings opening between January and April. Corporate learning roles in Florida's healthcare and hospitality industries tend to hire year-round. Prevailing wage requirements still apply, and employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before sponsoring an H-1B for any learning specialist position.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored learning specialist jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
