Which companies sponsor visas for operations support specialists in Florida?
Florida employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity in operations support roles include Chewy, Carnival Corporation, AdventHealth, and Citrix Systems. Logistics and supply chain companies concentrated around the Port of Miami and Port Tampa Bay also sponsor operations roles. Technology firms in the Orlando innovation corridor and financial services companies in downtown Miami have also appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for operations support specialist roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for operations support specialists in Florida, provided the role is classified as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, information systems, or supply chain management. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps to a qualifying USMCA occupation category. L-1B may apply when an international company transfers a specialist with proprietary knowledge to a Florida office.
Which cities in Florida have the most operations support specialist sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for operations support specialist sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, logistics hubs, and Latin American regional headquarters. Orlando ranks second, supported by hospitality technology firms, defense contractors, and a growing tech sector. Tampa follows closely, with strengths in healthcare operations, financial services, and port logistics. Jacksonville also generates sponsorship activity through its large military and logistics employer base.
How to find operations support specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search operations support specialist roles in Florida without manually screening hundreds of postings. The platform surfaces positions from employers with active sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful given how broadly the operations support title is applied across industries in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations support specialists seeking visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations under Department of Labor methodology since compensation structures differ from high-tax states. Operations support roles in Florida's hospitality and logistics sectors often require demonstrating specialty occupation status, which can be more complex for generalist-titled positions. Florida's large university system, including the University of Florida and Florida International University, produces OPT candidates who commonly pursue sponsorship through operations roles at Florida-headquartered employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations support specialist jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
