Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for procurement specialists?
Florida employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship for procurement roles include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare, Publix Super Markets, and Amazon's fulfillment and logistics operations. Aerospace and defense contractors concentrated on the Space Coast and around Orlando are among the more active sponsors, as are large healthcare systems that run centralized supply chain and procurement functions across multiple Florida facilities.
What visa types are most common for procurement specialist roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for procurement specialists in Florida, though it requires the employer to demonstrate that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, business, or engineering. Some candidates in NAFTA-eligible positions may qualify for TN visa status. Those with extraordinary achievement in procurement or supply chain may explore the O-1 visa, though approvals for business-category roles involve a high evidentiary bar.
Which Florida cities have the most procurement specialist visa sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads due to its concentration of aerospace, defense, and healthcare employers, including major operations for Lockheed Martin and AdventHealth. Miami follows with its strength in international trade, logistics, and port-related procurement. Tampa is notable for healthcare systems and finance-sector procurement, while Jacksonville's logistics infrastructure supports supply chain hiring. The Space Coast corridor between Melbourne and Cape Canaveral also sees consistent procurement demand tied to defense and aerospace contracts.
How to find procurement specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters procurement specialist jobs in Florida by visa sponsorship willingness, so you're not wading through postings from employers who won't sponsor. The platform draws on H-1B disclosure data to surface companies with a verified track record of sponsoring procurement roles in Florida, which is more reliable than guessing based on company size or industry alone.
Are there any Florida-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for procurement specialists?
Florida's aerospace and defense sector is heavily tied to federal contracting, which can complicate sponsorship because some positions require security clearances that are difficult or impossible for non-U.S. nationals to obtain. Procurement specialists targeting cleared defense contractors should verify clearance eligibility early in the process. Outside defense, Florida's healthcare and logistics sectors are generally more accessible, and the state's large university system, including the University of Florida and Florida State, produces supply chain graduates who sometimes transition into sponsored roles through campus recruiting pipelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement specialist jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
