Which companies sponsor visas for project management consultants in Florida?
Florida employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for project management consultant roles include Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman on the Space Coast, consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture with Miami and Tampa offices, Jacobs Engineering, and large health systems such as AdventHealth and HCA Florida. Technology companies concentrated in Orlando's growing tech corridor also sponsor project management talent regularly.
Which visa types are most common for project management consultant roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management consultants in Florida, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Consulting firms with intracompany structures sometimes use the L-1B for specialized knowledge transfers. Candidates from Australia may also have access to the E-3 visa, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify under the TN visa category.
Which cities in Florida have the most project management consultant sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads in Florida for project management consultant sponsorship opportunities, driven by its concentration of multinational consulting firms, finance, and construction companies. Orlando follows closely, supported by technology companies, defense contractors, and major infrastructure projects tied to its continued growth. Tampa's healthcare and financial services sectors generate consistent demand, while the Space Coast around Melbourne and Titusville supports project management roles in aerospace and defense.
How to find project management consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship jobs. You can filter by role and state to see project management consultant positions in Florida where employers have active sponsorship histories. This removes the guesswork of identifying which companies are open to sponsoring, letting you focus your applications on employers already familiar with the H-1B, E-3 visa, or TN processes for consulting roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for project management consultants seeking sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage determinations interact with your total compensation package, though H-1B prevailing wage requirements are set at the federal level by the Department of Labor regardless of state tax rules. Florida's heavy reliance on aerospace, defense, and healthcare creates demand for project managers with domain-specific credentials such as a PMP certification, which can strengthen a specialty occupation determination for an H-1B petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management consultant jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
