Which companies sponsor visas for project management leads in Florida?
Florida employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history for project management leads include Lockheed Martin and Boeing on the Space Coast, AdventHealth and HCA Healthcare in Orlando and Tampa, Chewy in Dania Beach, and Citrix in Fort Lauderdale. Large defense contractors and healthcare systems tend to be the most consistent sponsors, as project management leads are central to their program delivery and operational structures.
Which visa types are most common for project management lead roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management leads in Florida, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. Candidates transferring from within a multinational company may qualify for the L-1A, particularly if the role carries managerial responsibilities. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications align with eligible professional categories.
Which cities in Florida have the most project management lead sponsorship jobs?
Orlando, Miami, and Tampa generate the highest volume of project management lead sponsorship activity in Florida. Orlando draws demand from simulation and defense contractors, healthcare networks, and theme park operations. Miami's concentration of financial services firms and international corporate offices adds sponsorship volume. The Space Coast cities of Melbourne and Titusville are notable for aerospace and government contracting roles specifically.
How to find project management lead visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for project management lead roles in Florida without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Florida-based openings. This saves time compared to broad job searches where sponsorship status is often unclear or buried in application requirements.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for project management lead visa sponsorship?
Florida's lack of state income tax is a notable factor when evaluating offers, though H-1B prevailing wage requirements are set at the federal level based on the specific metro area. Orlando and Miami are designated as separate prevailing wage regions, so wage floors differ between them. Florida's aerospace sector ties project management roles closely to federal contract timelines, meaning hiring cycles can align with government fiscal year schedules.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management lead jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
