Which companies sponsor visas for tax senior associates in Florida?
The Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, are the most active sponsors for tax senior associates in Florida, with offices in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando regularly filing H-1B petitions. Mid-size firms like BDO, RSM, and Grant Thornton also have a sponsorship track record in the state, particularly for candidates with international tax or transfer pricing expertise.
Which visa types are most common for tax senior associate roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for tax senior associates in Florida, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify under TN visa status in the accountant category, which can offer a more straightforward path than the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Florida have the most tax senior associate sponsorship jobs?
Miami is the leading market for sponsored tax senior associate roles in Florida, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, Latin American regional headquarters, and international banking activity. Tampa and Orlando are secondary hubs with growing professional services sectors. Fort Lauderdale also sees regular hiring, particularly within firms serving high-net-worth and cross-border clients across South Florida.
How to find tax senior associate visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify tax senior associate openings in Florida without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by location and role type to surface positions at accounting firms and corporate tax departments across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando that have an active history of sponsoring international candidates.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for tax senior associates seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida's large international business community, particularly in South Florida, creates strong demand for candidates with cross-border tax knowledge, including transfer pricing, international tax compliance, and FATCA reporting. Many employers in Miami are familiar with visa sponsorship due to their multinational client base. Florida has no state income tax, which can simplify the tax compliance work itself but does not affect federal visa sponsorship requirements or H-1B prevailing wage obligations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored tax senior associate jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
