Which accounting companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Georgia?
The Big Four, Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young, and KPMG, have established Atlanta-area offices that regularly hire F-1 CPT students for audit, tax, and advisory roles. Regional firms such as Frazier & Deeter, Bennett Thrasher, and Dixon Hughes Goodman also maintain CPT-eligible positions. Corporate accounting departments at Georgia-headquartered companies in logistics, healthcare, and technology sectors participate as well, though CPT authorization depends on your DSO's approval and your program's curricular requirements.
Which cities in Georgia have the most accounting F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the large majority of accounting CPT opportunities in Georgia, driven by its concentration of Big Four offices, Fortune 500 headquarters, and a mature financial services sector. Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta host many public accounting firms, while Alpharetta and Sandy Springs attract corporate finance roles in technology and healthcare companies. Savannah offers a smaller but growing market, particularly in logistics and port-related financial operations.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles that most commonly qualify include audit associate, tax associate, financial reporting analyst, accounts payable or receivable specialist, and internal audit intern positions. For CPT eligibility, the role must be an integral part of your degree program's curriculum and require your DSO's authorization before you begin work. Positions emphasizing practical application of accounting coursework, such as assurance, tax compliance, and financial analysis, align most directly with CPT requirements at Georgia-based universities.
How do I find accounting F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface F-1 CPT-eligible accounting jobs in Georgia, letting you filter by visa type, industry, and location without sifting through listings that don't support international students. Because accounting CPT roles in Georgia move quickly, particularly around Big Four recruiting cycles, searching Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for Atlanta-area accounting positions gives you the earliest access to verified sponsorship-eligible openings at both large firms and regional employers.
Are there state-specific considerations for F-1 CPT sponsorship in Georgia's accounting industry?
Georgia does not impose additional state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal CPT rules, but accounting students should be aware that Georgia's CPA licensure pathway requires 150 credit hours, a factor that can influence whether a firm structures your CPT as an internship or a longer-term engagement. Georgia's large international student population at Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and Emory means employers in the state are generally familiar with CPT documentation, though each employer's HR process for onboarding CPT students varies.
