Which technology companies in Georgia sponsor Green Card visas?
Georgia's largest technology Green Card sponsors include NCR Voyix, Global Payments, Cox Enterprises, Delta Technology, Fiserv, and Honeywell's technology division. Atlanta also hosts regional offices for Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce that file PERM labor certifications. Consulting firms like Infosys and Wipro, which have significant Atlanta operations, are among the most frequent PERM filers in the state based on Department of Labor disclosure data.
Which cities in Georgia have the most technology Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta and its northern suburbs account for the overwhelming majority of technology Green Card sponsorship activity in Georgia. Alpharetta is a notable hub, hosting fintech and cybersecurity company headquarters. Midtown Atlanta concentrates software and cloud roles near Georgia Tech's campus. Dunwoody and Buckhead also have technology office clusters. Outside the metro area, Savannah has emerging technology roles tied to logistics and port operations, though at much lower volume.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Georgia?
Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field are the primary candidates for employer-sponsored Green Cards in Georgia's technology sector. Software engineers, data engineers, machine learning engineers, DevOps specialists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, and IT project managers are among the most commonly sponsored positions. Roles in fintech and payment processing are particularly active given the concentration of financial technology companies headquartered in Atlanta.
How do I find technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored technology roles, and you can filter directly by Green Card sponsorship and Georgia as the location. This surfaces employers in Atlanta, Alpharetta, and surrounding areas that have a documented history of filing PERM labor certifications for technology positions, saving you from applying to companies that don't sponsor permanent residence.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for technology Green Card sponsorship?
Georgia does not have state-level immigration programs, so sponsorship follows standard federal PERM and I-140 processes. One practical factor is Georgia's strong fintech and payments industry, which creates consistent PERM filing activity from companies like Global Payments and NCR Voyix. Georgia Tech graduates entering the local tech market are also a common pipeline, so employers in the Atlanta area have established immigration processes for sponsoring international technical talent.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card technology jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
