Which technology companies in Colorado sponsor Green Card visas?
Several major employers in Colorado have consistent track records of sponsoring Green Card petitions for technology workers. These include Google (Boulder), Amazon Web Services, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Oracle, and Arrow Electronics. Colorado's aerospace and defense sector is particularly active, alongside a strong base of software, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity companies that regularly file EB-2 and EB-3 petitions.
Which cities in Colorado have the most technology Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Denver and Boulder together account for the majority of technology Green Card sponsorship activity in Colorado. Denver hosts a dense concentration of enterprise software, fintech, and IT services firms, while Boulder is known for SaaS and data-driven startups. Colorado Springs attracts defense and aerospace sponsorship, and Fort Collins has a growing software engineering community tied to Colorado State University's research ecosystem.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Colorado?
Roles that most commonly qualify include software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, DevOps and cloud infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and systems architects. In Colorado specifically, aerospace systems engineers and defense software developers are also frequently sponsored given the state's strong defense contracting presence. These positions generally qualify under EB-2 (advanced degree or exceptional ability) or EB-3 (skilled workers) categories.
How do I find technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by Green Card visa type, the technology industry, and Colorado as your target state to see employers actively sponsoring permanent residence petitions. Because standard job boards don't filter by sponsorship type or visa category, Migrate Mate saves significant time for international candidates who need to confirm Green Card sponsorship before applying.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for technology Green Card sponsorship?
Colorado's technology employers span both commercial software and federally contracted defense work. Roles at defense contractors like Lockheed Martin or Raytheon may require security clearances, which can complicate or delay Green Card processing for non-citizens. For commercial tech roles, Colorado's strong PERM filing activity reflects genuine hiring demand. Candidates should confirm whether a prospective employer has an in-house immigration team or works with outside counsel, as this often signals sponsorship readiness.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card technology jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
