Which companies sponsor visas for project superintendents in Georgia?
Large general contractors with established Georgia offices are the most active sponsors for project superintendent roles. Turner Construction, Brasfield & Gorrie, Holder Construction, and Skanska have all filed employment-based visa petitions for construction management professionals. Multinational engineering and infrastructure firms operating in Georgia's industrial and data center markets also sponsor regularly. Sponsorship is more common at large contractors managing complex, multi-year projects than at smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for project superintendent roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project superintendents who hold a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, since the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation. The EB-3 employment-based green card is also used, particularly for experienced superintendents with employer support for permanent residency. Some candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed more quickly.
Which cities in Georgia have the most project superintendent sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the largest share of project superintendent openings in Georgia, driven by sustained commercial, mixed-use, and data center construction activity across the metro area. Savannah is a growing secondary market, with major port expansion and industrial development attracting large contractors. Augusta and Columbus also see activity tied to healthcare construction and military base infrastructure projects, though sponsorship opportunities in those markets are less frequent.
How to find project superintendent visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter by role and state to browse project superintendent openings in Georgia from employers with documented sponsorship activity. This is more targeted than general job searches because listings are curated for candidates who need work authorization. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps you track openings as new Georgia construction projects come to market.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for project superintendent visa sponsorship?
Georgia follows federal prevailing wage requirements, meaning sponsors must certify that the offered compensation meets Department of Labor wage levels for the construction management occupation and specific county. Atlanta's active construction market means prevailing wages are benchmarked against a competitive metro area. Georgia's data center construction boom, particularly in the northern Atlanta suburbs, has created consistent demand for experienced superintendents, making the state one of the stronger markets in the Southeast for employer-sponsored construction roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project superintendent jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
