Which companies sponsor visas for quality assurance engineers in Georgia?
NCR Voyix, Fiserv, Cox Enterprises, Delta Air Lines, and IBM all have established visa sponsorship histories for quality assurance engineers in Georgia, particularly in Atlanta. Global technology consultancies such as Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant also maintain large Georgia workforces and regularly file H-1B visa petitions for QA roles. Defense contractors near Warner Robins occasionally sponsor for specialized quality engineering positions as well.
Which visa types are most common for quality assurance engineer roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for quality assurance engineers in Georgia, since QA roles at technology and financial services companies generally qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. L-1B visas appear among multinational employers transferring QA specialists from overseas offices. Candidates from Australia may also qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed faster.
Which cities in Georgia have the most quality assurance engineer sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the substantial majority of quality assurance engineer sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by the city's concentration of fintech, media, and enterprise software companies. Alpharetta and Dunwoody, both within the metro area, host significant technology campuses for companies like NCR Voyix and Fiserv. Savannah is a secondary market with growing logistics and manufacturing presence, and Augusta sees some demand tied to cybersecurity and defense contractors.
How to find quality assurance engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter quality assurance engineer roles by state, so you can browse Georgia-specific openings from employers that have a documented sponsorship history. This saves significant time compared to sorting through postings that don't address work authorization at all. Filtering by Georgia on Migrate Mate surfaces roles from Atlanta's fintech and tech corridor employers most likely to sponsor.
Are there university pipelines or industry considerations that affect QA engineer sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia Tech in Atlanta produces a large pipeline of engineering graduates and maintains strong recruiting relationships with local technology employers, which creates a concentrated talent pool that can influence how actively companies pursue international sponsorship. Georgia's fintech cluster, centered in Atlanta and sometimes called a leading payments technology hub, means QA engineers with financial software or payments testing experience may find more sponsorship-open employers here than in less specialized markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored quality assurance engineer jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
