INTRODUCTION
Join our Alpharetta, GA on-site team as a Business Analyst, Strategic Ops where you will turn customer and revenue data into insights that shape real business decisions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Business Analyst, Strategic Ops, you'll be part of a small, high-impact team within the Strategy and Commercial Operations department. You'll build data-based analyses that touch every corner of the business, from customer retention to program performance and beyond. You'll own analytical projects assigned by senior team members, working closely with executive leadership across the wider global business. The team works on-site and is known for high visibility, a supportive culture, and strong career and skill development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze internal and customer-facing data in Excel to derive business insights on assigned projects such as customer retention and program performance
- Gather data from Salesforce, financial systems, and other existing reporting platforms, performing preliminary data cleaning and analysis
- Support senior team members by executing assigned analysis projects, taking ownership from start to finish
- Identify and flag anomalies, trends, or questions that require escalation, deeper investigation, or raising with senior leadership
- Deliver clear, accurate findings and help translate analysis into clear stories for senior leadership through polished presentations
- Participate in discussions and ask clarifying questions about data sources, metrics, and business context to connect the qualitative business perspective with your quantitative analyses
ABOUT YOU
You bring 1–2 years of work experience, ideally with some exposure to data analysis, business analysis, or analytics work. You don't need to be an expert analyst; the ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously is more important than prior depth. You possess the ability to think critically about data, ask "why," and dig into the qualitative context behind the numbers — not just pull and report metrics. Understanding of customer metrics and business fundamentals (retention, revenue, performance metrics) and familiarity with how data flows from operational systems (Salesforce, financial systems) into analysis is essential.
TO BE AHEAD OF THE PACK, YOU MIGHT HAVE
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
- Strong performance in quantitative areas or demonstrated analytical project work such as thesis, capstone, or personal projects
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, basic visualization)
- Ability to learn new tools, systems, and processes quickly, including Salesforce basics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Proactive mindset—willing to chase data and follow up
- Quantitative thinking and comfort with numbers and patterns
- Ability to balance multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while reaching out for support when needed
- Flexibility to support team priorities as they shift

Which companies sponsor visas for strategy analysts in Georgia?
Atlanta-headquartered companies with documented H-1B sponsorship history in strategy and analytics roles include Intercontinental Exchange, Cox Enterprises, NCR Voyix, Delta Air Lines, and The Home Depot. Global consulting firms with Atlanta offices, including McKinsey, BCG, and Deloitte, also sponsor strategy analyst positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by team, headcount cycle, and petitioning volume, so confirmed filings are the most reliable indicator.
Which visa types are most common for strategy analyst roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy analysts in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or finance. Candidates with advanced degrees may also see employers filing under the H-1B master's cap exemption. Those from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA.
Which cities in Georgia have the most strategy analyst sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of strategy analyst visa sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial technology firms, and major consulting office presences. Midtown and Buckhead are the densest employment corridors within the city. Outside Atlanta, opportunities are limited, though Alpharetta and Dunwoody, both in the Atlanta metro area, host technology and financial services operations that occasionally post strategy-focused roles.
How to find strategy analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify Georgia employers actively hiring strategy analysts who will support the H-1B or other work visa processes. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform built around confirmed sponsorship data saves significant time. Filter by location and role on Migrate Mate to see current strategy analyst openings across Atlanta and the broader Georgia market.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy analyst roles in Georgia?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must still file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and metro area. Atlanta's prevailing wage benchmarks for strategy analyst positions reflect the city's competitive professional services market. Georgia Tech's graduate programs in business analytics and industrial engineering also supply a strong local talent pipeline, which employers factor into hiring decisions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy analyst jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
