JOB SUMMARY:
- Assists the Clinical Pharmacist in the processing and filling of prescriptions and medication/medical supply orders.
- Reviews and enters orders and patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Processes and assists in the maintenance of pharmacy inventory.
- Provides customers/patients with information about medications, health insurance, and other health care related services.
- Files third-party insurance claims on paper and electronically.

- Occasional: Lift floor to waist between 36-50 lbs. Lift waist to shoulder between 36-50 lbs. Lift waist to overhead between 6-10 lbs. Carry between 36-50 lbs. Push and Pull between 36-50 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Current Hawaii State certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Completion of pharmacy technical program or on-the-job education/pharmacy work experience preferred.
Experience:
- One (1) year work experience, preferably as pharmacy technician/clerk.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to use a computer, type, operate calculator.
- Ability to convert easily among fractions, decimals, percentages, and mixed numbers.
