Which companies sponsor visas for service supervisors in Hawaii?
Hospitality operators are the most active sponsors, including Marriott, Hilton, and Outrigger Resorts, given Hawaii's tourism-driven economy. Healthcare systems such as Hawaii Pacific Health and Queens Health Systems also sponsor supervisory roles. Facilities and property management firms supporting military installations, like those contracting with Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, represent another consistent source of service supervisor sponsorships.
Which visa types are most common for service supervisor roles in Hawaii?
The H-1B visa is the primary visa for service supervisors whose roles require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as hospitality management or healthcare administration. Some positions in resort or hotel operations qualify under the H-2B visa for temporary nonagricultural workers, though that category has annual cap limitations. Candidates with managerial experience at a multinational employer may also explore the L-1A intracompany transferee category.
How to find service supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Hawaii?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse service supervisor roles in Hawaii without sorting through positions that do not offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job title to surface relevant openings across Honolulu, Maui, and other islands. Because sponsoring employers in Hawaii tend to cluster in hospitality and healthcare, those sectors are worth prioritizing in your search on Migrate Mate.
Which cities in Hawaii have the most service supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Honolulu is by far the most active market, home to the majority of Hawaii's hospitals, corporate hotel properties, and government contractors that sponsor supervisory staff. Kahului on Maui and Kailua-Kona on the Big Island have a smaller but steady volume of openings tied to resort operations. Lihue on Kauai sees periodic postings from luxury resort groups that recruit internationally for experienced supervisors.
Are there state-specific considerations for service supervisor sponsorship in Hawaii?
Hawaii's geographic isolation means employers often have stronger motivation to sponsor international candidates when local hiring pipelines fall short, particularly in resort and healthcare settings. The University of Hawaii system produces hospitality and nursing graduates, but supervisory-level demand consistently outpaces local supply. Employers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific occupation and county, which vary across Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai counties.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service supervisor jobs in Hawaii?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
