Which companies sponsor visas for business systems analysts in Illinois?
Large employers with a track record of sponsoring business systems analysts in Illinois include Accenture, Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, United Airlines, Allstate, Discover Financial, and Boeing. Major consulting firms and financial services companies based in the Chicago metro area file a high volume of H-1B visa petitions for this role category each year, according to Department of Labor disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for business systems analyst roles in Illinois?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business systems analysts in Illinois, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or business administration. Some employers also use the L-1B for intracompany transfers and, for Canadian or Mexican nationals, the TN visa under the USMCA.
Which cities in Illinois have the most business systems analyst sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of business systems analyst sponsorship jobs in Illinois, with particular concentration in the Loop, River North, and Schaumburg corridors. The broader metro area, including suburbs like Lisle, Downers Grove, and Naperville, hosts significant employer campuses for consulting, insurance, and technology firms that regularly sponsor analysts.
How to find business systems analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that offer visa sponsorship, so you can search for business systems analyst positions in Illinois without sorting through postings that don't support work authorization. The platform surfaces roles from employers who have an active history of sponsoring analysts, which is particularly useful in Illinois where sponsorship volume varies significantly across industries.
What should business systems analysts know about the Illinois job market before applying for sponsored roles?
Illinois employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the role and location, which is determined by the specific duties and the metropolitan statistical area, typically the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin area. Business systems analyst roles at consulting firms often involve client-site work, which can affect the Labor Condition Application and require additional compliance steps if work is performed at multiple locations across the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business systems analyst jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
