The Impact You'll Make

We have an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Machine Operator specializing in Kits & Blocks Broach operations to join our diverse team in Freeport, IL. This role involves operating and maintaining setups for conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble both metallic and nonmetallic components through various tasks. The wage range for this position is $20.34 to $22.50 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Adheres strictly to safety regulations and actively promotes workplace safety.
• Complies with all standard operating procedures, control plans, processes, and quality standards.
• Efficiently sets up, operates, and dismantles unit assembly and sub-assembly workstations.
• Exhibits flexibility in methods and ideas, responds positively to changes, and supports updates in procedures, processes, technology, responsibilities, and assignments.
• Accurately fits and assembles parts into complete units, ensuring precise dimensions and proper alignment of assemblies.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
