The new College of Engineering at Illinois State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to join the Department of Mechanical Engineering and help shape a growing program. The successful candidate will contribute to course development, teaching laboratories, student engagement and professional activities, and the development of a research program. Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$75,000 – $92,500, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

1. PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Degree must be completed by the start date of the appointment.

2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.

3. Demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language, as required by state law.
