Which companies sponsor visas for data analysts in Indiana?
Eli Lilly and Company is one of Indiana's most active H-1B sponsors for data analysts, given its large Indianapolis headquarters and demand for clinical and commercial analytics talent. Other notable sponsors include Salesforce (Indianapolis office), Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Cummins. Manufacturing firms like Subaru of Indiana Automotive and logistics operations also file LCAs for data analyst roles periodically.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data analyst roles in Indiana, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related field such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics. Candidates already on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT can work for Indiana employers before their employer files an H-1B petition. The O-1A is an alternative for analysts with exceptional recognition in their field.
Which cities in Indiana have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of data analyst visa sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of pharmaceutical, insurance, and technology employers. Bloomington has a smaller but consistent pipeline tied to Indiana University and its associated research and tech ecosystem. Fort Wayne and South Bend see occasional sponsorship from manufacturing and healthcare employers, though volume is significantly lower than Indianapolis.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it more targeted than a general job search for data analyst positions in Indiana. You can browse current Indiana openings on Migrate Mate and filter by role to surface employers actively hiring international candidates in pharma, tech, and healthcare analytics across Indianapolis and other Indiana cities.
Are there any Indiana-specific factors data analysts should know about visa sponsorship?
Indiana's pharma sector, anchored by Eli Lilly's global headquarters in Indianapolis, creates a consistent demand for data analysts with life sciences or clinical trial experience, and these employers tend to have established immigration programs. Indiana University and Purdue University also produce a pipeline of international students on OPT who transition into sponsored roles. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and wages are benchmarked to the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson metro for most postings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
