Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for marketing professionals?
Garmin, headquartered in Olathe, is one of the most active H-1B sponsors in Kansas for professional roles including marketing. Other employers with sponsorship history include Evergy, Cerner (now Oracle Health), and larger regional financial institutions in the Kansas City metro. Aerospace firms in Wichita, such as Spirit AeroSystems, also hire for marketing and communications roles that may include sponsorship.
What visa types are most commonly used for marketing jobs in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for marketing roles in Kansas, covering positions like marketing analyst, digital marketing manager, and brand strategist that require at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Some roles in global companies may qualify under the L-1 visa intracompany transferee category. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying marketing analyst positions.
How to find marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse marketing roles in Kansas without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by city or metro area and filter for marketing-specific titles. Migrate Mate's board surfaces employers in the Kansas City metro, Wichita, and Topeka who have active sponsorship histories for marketing professionals.
Which cities in Kansas have the most marketing sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, including Overland Park and Olathe, accounts for the largest share of marketing sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices. Wichita is the second most active market, particularly for marketing roles tied to aerospace and manufacturing. Topeka, as the state capital, offers some demand through government-adjacent organizations and utilities.
Are there any specific considerations for marketing visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Marketing roles in Kansas must qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B rules, meaning the position must typically require a specific bachelor's degree rather than a general business background. Kansas employers filing Labor Condition Applications must pay the prevailing wage for the relevant metropolitan statistical area, which differs between the Kansas City metro and Wichita markets. University of Kansas and Kansas State University produce marketing graduates who sometimes transition into sponsored roles through OPT before converting to H-1B status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
