Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician - Retail Pharmacy role will function in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing their job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. The role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth. The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on-the-job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience: None required
- Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proficient computer skills
