Which companies sponsor visas for business systems analysts in Massachusetts?
Financial services firms and life sciences companies are the most active sponsors in Massachusetts. State Street, Fidelity Investments, Liberty Mutual, and Mass General Brigham have consistent track records of H-1B sponsorship for business systems analyst roles. Large technology employers with Massachusetts offices, including MathWorks and Wayfair, also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for this occupation.
Which visa types are most common for business systems analyst roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa category for business systems analysts in Massachusetts, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or business administration. Some employers also support TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals where the role maps to eligible USMCA occupational categories.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most business systems analyst sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the majority of business systems analyst sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, hospitals, and technology companies. Cambridge is a secondary hub, particularly for biotech and life sciences employers. The Route 128 corridor, covering suburbs like Waltham, Lexington, and Burlington, hosts substantial demand from enterprise software and defense technology companies.
How to find business systems analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find business systems analyst roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that do not offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location and role type to surface relevant openings from financial services, healthcare, and technology employers that actively sponsor international candidates in the state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for business systems analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers must pay H-1B workers the prevailing wage for the Boston or relevant metropolitan area, which is set by the Department of Labor and reflects the state's high cost of living. The state's deep university pipeline, including MIT, Boston University, and Northeastern, means many employers already have established processes for sponsoring international hires, which can make initial outreach and the sponsorship conversation more familiar to hiring managers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business systems analyst jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
