Which companies sponsor visas for clinical directors in Massachusetts?
Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Lahey Health, Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and UMass Memorial Health are among the Massachusetts employers with established visa sponsorship programs for senior clinical roles. Large behavioral health networks such as Vinfen and Community Healthlink also hire clinical directors and have sponsored H-1B visa workers in the past. Sponsorship availability varies by position and is never guaranteed.
Which visa types are most common for clinical director roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for clinical directors in Massachusetts, since the role typically requires a graduate-level degree in a clinical or administrative field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with an MD, PhD, or master's in clinical psychology or social work frequently pursue this path. EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based green card sponsorship are also available through larger health systems for longer-term hires.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most clinical director sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the majority of clinical director sponsorship opportunities in Massachusetts, driven by its dense concentration of academic medical centers, research hospitals, and specialty clinics. Worcester is a secondary hub with UMass Memorial Health and several community health organizations. Cambridge hosts biotech and healthcare companies that sometimes hire clinical directors for program oversight roles. Springfield and Lowell have a smaller but active behavioral health sector.
How to find clinical director visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters clinical director positions in Massachusetts specifically by visa sponsorship, so you are not sorting through roles that exclude international candidates. The platform aggregates openings from health systems, behavioral health networks, and specialty clinics across Boston, Worcester, and beyond. Because clinical director roles move quickly at large academic centers, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you an early look at newly posted sponsorship-eligible positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for clinical director roles in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a highly competitive healthcare labor market and enforces strict professional licensing requirements. Clinical directors overseeing licensed practitioners typically need their own active Massachusetts state license in their clinical discipline before assuming supervisory responsibilities. The state's concentration of teaching hospitals and research institutions means many clinical director roles carry academic affiliations, which can influence prevailing wage determinations and position classifications in the H-1B petition process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical director jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
