- 5+ years of product management experience, with direct ownership of data science, machine learning, or analytics-driven products
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution and consistently deliver complex, cross-functional projects on time
- Strong understanding of data science workflows, including experimentation, model development, evaluation, and deployment
- Experience working closely with data scientists and engineers, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear product requirements
- Proven track record of managing ambiguity, setting priorities, and making data-informed decisions that drive business outcomes
- Ability to monitor and interpret model performance, including defining success metrics and identifying opportunities for optimization

- Experience incorporating customer feedback into product planning and prioritization
- Awareness of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and ad tech, with the ability to translate external innovation into actionable product opportunities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical audiences around goals, timelines, and trade-offs

Which companies sponsor visas for data product managers in Massachusetts?
Several large Massachusetts employers have established track records of H-1B sponsorship for data and product roles. Wayfair, HubSpot, Fidelity Investments, Biogen, and MathWorks are among the companies that regularly file H-1B petitions for technical product positions. Larger financial services firms in Boston's Seaport and Back Bay districts, along with life sciences companies along Route 128, also sponsor data product managers with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for data product manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data product manager positions in Massachusetts, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a field like computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or O-1A visas for extraordinary ability occasionally fill these roles as well, depending on their background and employer situation.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most data product manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of data product manager sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by concentrations of tech, fintech, and biotech employers. The Route 128 corridor, including Burlington, Waltham, and Lexington, is a secondary hub with a significant presence of enterprise software and life sciences firms. Worcester has a smaller but growing tech presence, though the majority of sponsoring employers remain in Greater Boston.
How to find data product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, and you can filter directly for data product manager positions in Massachusetts. Because sponsorship availability isn't always stated in job postings, Migrate Mate focuses on employers with documented H-1B filing histories, which helps narrow your search to companies that have demonstrated willingness to sponsor for technical product roles in the state.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data product manager sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts participates in the federal H-1B prevailing wage system, so employers must pay wages that meet Department of Labor wage levels for the specific role and geographic area, with the Boston metropolitan area typically carrying higher prevailing wage thresholds than national averages. The state's concentration of research universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, also creates a strong pipeline of OPT candidates who transition to H-1B sponsorship through Massachusetts-based employers after graduation.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data product manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
