Relevant day-to-day activities may include proposal development, marketing, defining scope of work and associated fee, development of client deliverables, providing technical guidance to project staff, negotiating with regulatory agencies, leading QA/QC tasks, managing subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
The Project Manager will lead the project teams in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.

Which companies sponsor visas for project leads in Missouri?
Large Missouri employers with active sponsorship histories for project lead roles include BJC HealthCare, Cerner (now Oracle Health) in Kansas City, Edward Jones, Boeing's St. Louis operations, and Centene Corporation. Manufacturing and logistics companies with significant Missouri footprints also sponsor regularly. Sponsorship activity varies by year and hiring need, so checking current LCA filings on the Department of Labor disclosure database gives the most accurate picture.
Which visa types are most common for project lead roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most widely used visa for project leads in Missouri, particularly at large employers in healthcare IT, financial services, and aerospace. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa applies when a candidate is moving from an overseas office to a Missouri-based position. Some candidates with advanced degrees may qualify for EB-2 or EB-2 NIW pathways, though those are immigrant visa categories requiring separate employer or self-petition processes.
Which cities in Missouri have the most project lead sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis and Kansas City account for the majority of project lead sponsorship opportunities in Missouri. St. Louis draws from its healthcare, financial services, and defense sectors, with employers concentrated along the Interstate 64 and Clayton corridors. Kansas City's technology sector, anchored by companies like Oracle Health and Garmin, generates consistent demand. Smaller markets like Springfield and Columbia offer more limited sponsorship activity, primarily through university-affiliated employers and regional healthcare networks.
How to find project lead visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search project lead roles in Missouri without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform covers employers across St. Louis, Kansas City, and other Missouri markets. Because sponsorship availability changes with each hiring cycle, checking Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for project lead roles in Missouri gives you the most current options.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project leads seeking visa sponsorship in Missouri?
Missouri has no state-level visa or work authorization program separate from federal requirements, so H-1B sponsorship follows standard Department of Labor prevailing wage rules. Project lead roles typically require documented specialty occupation standing, meaning the position must generally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field like engineering, information systems, or business management. Missouri's lower cost of living compared to coastal markets can affect prevailing wage benchmarks, which employers must meet or exceed when filing a Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project lead jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
