Relevant day-to-day activities may include proposal development, marketing, defining scope of work and associated fee, development of client deliverables, providing technical guidance to project staff, negotiating with regulatory agencies, leading QA/QC tasks, managing subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
The Project Manager will lead the project teams in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.

Which companies sponsor visas for project managers in Missouri?
Several large Missouri employers have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for project management roles. Boeing in St. Louis regularly sponsors project managers with aerospace or engineering backgrounds. In Kansas City, Oracle Cerner (now Oracle Health) has sponsored technical project managers tied to its healthcare IT operations. Edward Jones, Mastercard's St. Louis technology center, and major healthcare systems like BJC HealthCare also appear in DOL disclosure records for project manager filings.
Which visa types are most common for project manager roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project managers in Missouri, particularly for roles requiring a degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field. The L-1B and L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also relevant for candidates moving within multinational companies like Boeing or Mastercard. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose project manager roles qualify as a covered NAFTA/USMCA profession under the applicable guidelines.
How to find project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by state and role to surface project manager positions in Missouri where employers have active or historical visa sponsorship activity. This saves significant time compared to manually screening job postings for sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate focuses on roles from employers with documented sponsorship track records, which is especially useful given that sponsorship availability is rarely stated clearly in standard job listings.
Which cities in Missouri have the most project manager sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis and Kansas City account for the large majority of sponsored project manager roles in Missouri. St. Louis concentrates opportunities in aerospace, defense, financial services, and healthcare, anchored by employers like Boeing and BJC HealthCare. Kansas City's strength is in healthcare IT, logistics, and financial technology, with Oracle Health and major insurance carriers driving demand. Columbia sees smaller but consistent activity tied to the University of Missouri's research and administrative operations.
Are there state-specific factors international project managers should know about Missouri?
Missouri does not have a state-level immigration program, so sponsorship depends entirely on individual employers following federal H-1B or other visa processes. One practical consideration is that project manager roles in Missouri often sit within regulated industries like aerospace, healthcare, and financial services, where employer compliance requirements are already well-established. This can work in a candidate's favor, as larger regulated employers typically have in-house immigration counsel and defined sponsorship processes compared to smaller regional firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project manager jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
