Title: Assistant Construction Superintendent
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: Long term
Role and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with project team members regarding critical path items, job schedule updates, and RFI’s.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and vendors on the job sites.
- Receive and store jobsite materials in an organized manner.
- Ensure and enforce subcontractors’ compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
- Attend regular walkthroughs with project team members and other departments.
- Verify subcontractors’ time spent for any extra work.
- Ability to motivate and push subcontractors to adhere to project schedule.
- Work with project team members to schedule and attend inspections with the building department.
- Ability to understand, read and comprehend blueprints and construction drawings.
- Needs to have all OSHA requirements to be a Superintendent in Jersey City.
- Ability to understand and perform layout of construction drawings.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree is a plus but College not necessary if experience is diverse and immense.
- 7+ years’ experience as a superintendent minimum.
