Which companies sponsor visas for tax consultants in New Jersey?
The most consistent H-1B sponsors for tax consultant roles in New Jersey include the Big Four firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, all of which have significant offices in Newark and Parsippany. Large multinationals headquartered in the state, including Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, and Conduent, also file regularly for tax professionals. Regional accounting firms and financial services companies in Jersey City round out the sponsor pool.
Which visa types are most common for tax consultant roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa for tax consultants in New Jersey, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Candidates from India may also be sponsored on an L-1 visa if transferring within a multinational. Australian citizens working in tax may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may explore TN visa status under the USMCA accountant category.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most tax consultant sponsorship jobs?
Newark leads the state given its proximity to New York City and its concentration of professional services firms. Parsippany and Florham Park host regional headquarters for several national accounting and consulting firms. Princeton attracts tax roles tied to pharma and research-sector clients. Jersey City, though geographically close to Manhattan, functions as a distinct New Jersey employment hub with strong demand from financial services and insurance employers.
How to find tax consultant visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse tax consultant openings in New Jersey without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored tax consultant jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
