Duties

- Assist with complex procedures like IV infusion, catheterization, wound suturing, and sterile processing techniques.
- Conduct patient education on medication management, nutrition, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and pain management strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care coordination.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently to maintain safety standards across all settings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Skilled in working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions like Alzheimer’s disease.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and specimen processing.
- Expertise in performing phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, and basic life support (BLS).
- Ability to assess physiology and anatomy knowledge for patient assessment and respiratory support including ventilator management.
- Excellent communication skills for triage situations and working effectively with interdisciplinary teams in urgent care or outpatient settings.
