INTRODUCTION
We are looking for a BigCommerce Tech Lead with strong experience in eCommerce development and architecture to lead the design and development of scalable commerce solutions on the BigCommerce platform.
The candidate will lead a team of developers, work closely with architects, product owners, and UX teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality headless commerce and API-driven eCommerce solutions.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and development of BigCommerce solutions
- Provide technical guidance to development teams
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
- Participate in architecture discussions and solution design
BigCommerce Development
- Customize BigCommerce storefront using Stencil framework
- Develop custom themes, templates, and extensions
- Implement checkout and cart customizations
- Work with BigCommerce Storefront APIs
Headless Commerce
- Implement headless commerce architecture
- Integrate BigCommerce with frontend frameworks like:
- React
- Next.js
- Vue.js
Integration
- Integrate BigCommerce with enterprise systems such as:
- ERP (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite)
- CRM (Salesforce)
- PIM / DAM
- Payment gateways
- Shipping providers
Performance & Scalability
- Optimize storefront performance
- Implement caching and CDN strategies
- Ensure high availability and scalability
DevOps & Deployment
- Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Manage deployment across Dev, QA, and Production environments
- Support cloud deployments on AWS or Azure
