Which companies sponsor visas for business analysts in Ohio?
Ohio has a strong base of employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship for business analyst roles. JPMorgan Chase and Huntington Bancshares in Columbus, Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, and Sherwin-Williams and Eaton Corporation in Cleveland have all appeared in Department of Labor LCA filings for business analyst positions. Healthcare systems including Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth also sponsor analysts in health IT and operations roles.
Which visa types are most common for business analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business analyst roles in Ohio, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or finance. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT are actively recruited by Ohio employers. Some multinational firms, particularly in financial services and manufacturing, also use L-1B visas for analysts transferring from overseas offices.
Which cities in Ohio have the most business analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of business analyst sponsorship activity in Ohio, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, insurance companies, and technology employers. Cleveland is a strong second, with demand from manufacturing, energy, and healthcare sectors. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, particularly for analysts in consumer goods, healthcare, and logistics. Smaller markets like Dayton also offer sponsorship opportunities tied to aerospace and defense employers.
How to find business analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters business analyst roles in Ohio by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sorting through postings that won't support your work authorization. The platform aggregates actively sponsored positions across Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, so you can focus on employers already familiar with the H-1B or OPT hiring process. Filtering by role and state on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to identify real opportunities in Ohio.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors business analysts should know before pursuing sponsorship?
Ohio's cost of living relative to coastal markets means prevailing wage requirements for business analyst H-1B petitions are generally lower than in cities like San Francisco or New York, which can make sponsorship more accessible for mid-market employers. Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Cincinnati produce a consistent pipeline of international graduates on OPT, so local employers are often familiar with the sponsorship process. Healthcare and financial services are the two sectors with the deepest sponsorship track records in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
