Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for DevOps leads?
Ohio's largest H-1B sponsors for senior DevOps roles include Nationwide Insurance and Huntington Bancshares in Columbus, Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, and Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. Healthcare systems such as Cleveland Clinic and Nationwide Children's Hospital also file petitions for DevOps leads managing cloud infrastructure. Consulting firms with Ohio delivery centers, including Cognizant and Infosys, are additional frequent sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for DevOps lead roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for DevOps leads in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT can begin working while an H-1B petition is pending. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also qualify under the TN visa category in computer systems analyst roles.
Which cities in Ohio have the most DevOps lead sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary hub for DevOps lead sponsorship, driven by its concentration of financial services companies, insurance carriers, and a growing tech sector around the Short North and Dublin corridors. Cleveland supports sponsorship activity through healthcare systems and manufacturing technology firms. Cincinnati sees demand from consumer goods companies and regional banks. Dublin and Westerville, as Columbus suburbs, also have notable employer density for senior DevOps roles.
How to find devops lead visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for DevOps lead roles in Ohio without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings at Ohio-based companies in finance, healthcare, and technology. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer, using a dedicated platform like Migrate Mate saves meaningful time in the search process.
Are there state-specific considerations for DevOps lead visa sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio employers sponsoring H-1B workers must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to the metropolitan statistical area where the role is based, meaning Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati each have distinct wage determinations for DevOps lead positions. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University produce engineering graduates who enter the OPT pipeline, creating a local talent base that some Ohio employers are already experienced in sponsoring through the H-1B process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored devops lead jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
