Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in Ohio
Verify your occupation meets specialty requirements
The H-1B1 Singapore requires a specialty occupation tied to a specific degree field. Use O*NET to confirm your role's education requirements before applying, since Ohio employers in engineering and healthcare often list roles that need tighter degree-field alignment than candidates expect.
Target Ohio employers with active LCA histories
Search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data to identify Ohio companies that have filed LCAs for your occupation code. Columbus-area tech employers and Cleveland healthcare systems file regularly, signaling established sponsorship infrastructure rather than one-off willingness.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
Before negotiating an Ohio offer, run your job title and county through OFLC Wage Search to find the prevailing wage for your metro area. H-1B1 Singapore requires the employer to certify the offered wage meets or exceeds that threshold, so misaligned offers stall before USCIS even reviews the petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Ohio roles by sponsorship history
Search Migrate Mate to find Ohio employers with verified H-1B1 sponsorship records rather than relying on job postings that may not disclose sponsorship capacity. This lets you focus applications on companies already familiar with the H-1B1 Singapore filing process.

Healthcare, information technology, and engineering services account for the largest share of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Ohio. Major hospital networks in Cleveland and Columbus, along with financial technology firms and manufacturing engineering companies, file LCAs consistently across these sectors. Life sciences employers in the Columbus area also contribute meaningful sponsorship volume.
Which cities in Ohio have the most H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship density, driven by its concentration of technology companies, financial services employers, and large hospital systems. Cleveland follows, with strong activity in healthcare and engineering. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, particularly in professional services, consumer goods operations, and regional financial firms with specialty occupation hiring needs.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Ohio?
Roles in software engineering, data analysis, financial analysis, civil and mechanical engineering, and clinical research consistently qualify in Ohio because they require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific related field. How do I find H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter Ohio job listings by employers with documented H-1B1 visa sponsorship history, so you reach companies that have already filed LCAs rather than guessing from job postings. You can also cross-reference DOL's LCA disclosure data by state and occupation to validate which Ohio employers file actively in your field before sending applications.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
